America…F*ck Yeah!

In light of the recent lobbying and pork barrel spending scandals, several prominent right of center bloggers have started a new campaign to ensure that the House elects a majority leader that will steer the Republican Party back to its principles of fiscal responsibility and limited government. Although the previous Porkbusters campaign was met with limited success, it far surpassed my own expectations in that it injected the wasteful spending issue into the national discourse and forced both congressmen and senators alike to talk about it and go on record with their opinions. Of course, that campaign is by no means over and will most likely pick up steam again as we head into elections in November. Of course both of these stories testify to the ever increasing power of blogs to shape and form opinion and increase the democratization of our political process. I gladly add my support to this latest effort as the House sorely needs new and strong leadership that will return the Republican Party to its roots and original purpose.
