Can someone stick their head outside and let me know if it is raining frogs or any other type of amphibian because shit is getting weird around here. In the space of 24 hours we have had Hillary saying that Bush isn’t being enough of unilateral cowboy vis a vis Iran and Chirac is threatening to nuke terror sponsoring nations.

Ladies first:

She also blasted the Bush administration for allowing European countries to lead negotiations with the hard-line regime of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

“I believe that we lost critical time with … Iran because the White House chose to downplay the threats and to outsource the negotiations,” she said. “I don’t believe … in standing on the sidelines.”

Clinton accused the White House of “substituting ideology and arrogance” for “evidence-based decision-making.”

Clinton’s comments came on a day when the International Atomic Energy Agency accepted Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s call for a Feb. 2 emergency meeting to address Iran’s insistence on resuming uranium enrichment, a precursor to development of atomic weapons.

I don’t even where to start on this. I mean, Bush is doing exactly what retards decry he didn’t do with Iraq and now he gets shit for it??? I swear, Bush could cure cancer next week and the libs would bitch about how AIDS victims are left out in the cold in Bush’s compassionate conservatism. Sheesh.

On to Mr. Chirac:

French President Jacques Chirac has said France would be ready to use nuclear weapons against any state which launched a terrorist attack against it. Speaking at a nuclear submarine base in north-western France, Mr Chirac said a French response “could be conventional. It could also be of another nature.” He said France’s nuclear forces had been configured for such an event.

Jacque, Jacque, put down that sabre you jingo-istic warmongerer you!

Do you see what I mean??? The French are acting tough and Bush is getting shit for being too diplomatic…I’m almost afraid to leave the house today. I’m mean, what if, like, gravity stops working or something?

Ya know, I’ve been keeping close tabs on the things that have been going on in the world for about a year now. Not that I wasn’t in touch before, however it’s about a year to date that things have started to get “interesting” in the way of global diplomacy and world politics. What I don’t understand is, why am I starting to want to side with Bin Laden? This man killed thousands upon thousands of people in our homes and in our neighbours’ homes. He is a murderer and a terrorist, however, he is beginning to make sense with the things that he is saying. America has lost the war in Iraq and Bush is driving our military into the ground. Our people needlessly die there, and the innocent needlessly die as well. It is because of U.S. presence that journalists and peace workers are being abducted and beheaded or shot. Have you seen any of those videos? Americans, Britons, Japanese, and even Iraqis beheaded in ceremonial fashion; Napalese having their throats cut in the desert and their comrades being shot beside each other faces down in the sand. These people are no longer playing. This isn’t a political war anymore. If these people get ahold of a nuclear weapon, they will use it, mark my words. That’s another thing, nuclear weapons. The “Fire of Creation” is being threatened by nearly every country capable of firing a missile with a warhead duct taped to the head. Iran swears to Allah that they do not want to make nuclear weapons, however the West is absolutely certain that they’re lying and are going to refer Iran to the IAEA and have special sessions with the EU and UN on February 2, 2006, thanks to Condy Rice and impose sanctions on one of the oldest civilizations on the planet. That’s going to piss alot of people off, and if you think oil is expensive now, wait six more months and you’re going to need your entire weekly paycheck to tank up at AM/PM. You know, maybe they do want to build a few nuclear weapons, and maybe they do want to play nuclear volleyball with every country that has “adopted American standards and morals”. If that’s the case, then wait for concrete evidence that they are definitely in the process of constructing a nuclear weapon before you send Delta Force and spec. ops into hostile terrain looking to defeat a cruel and vindictive dictator who wants to destroy the world but doesn’t have the means to do so(Saddam reference). You want to fight the good battle Dubble Yuh, close all incoming portals from the Middle East, arm and upgrade the Pacific and Atlantic Missile Defense Batteries, and stay the hell out of their business. We are not the police of the world and if they want to run their country a certain way, let them. They were obviously raised differently than everyone else and their system works for them. Let them bomb the hell out of each other. Allow Tehran to make comments about Isreal and Jews. They’re just words spoken from the mouth of a bully standing on the top of a big country who aspires one day to be manager of a McDonalds. Little fish in a big pond wanting to play too but the bat is too heavy for them and the older boys run faster and hit harder. What about out Katrina victims? Or how about the widows and the mothers of slain soldiers from Afghanistan and Iraq? Offer solace, withdraw, and don’t forget to Super Size that Allah Big Mac Value Meal.

Wow. Long comment. Honestly, I hope you are right on many of your points. You do have a few doozies in here though. As many “innocents” that are being killed in Iraq these days, we still aren’t anywhere near the average number of “innocents” killed per year under Sadaam. The fact that “these people are no longer playing” is exactly why we can’t let Iran get nuclear capability. But you seem to worry about pissing them off if we refer them to the UN security council. I not sure how I follow you there. My problem is that I do not want our “concrete evidence” of a nuclear Iran to be in the form of a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv. And you are right, we are not the police of the world, except when the world needs/wants us to be police of the world. We are not the police, but yet we have to get involve in the former Yugoslavia to head off a potential continental war. We are not the police, yet we are forced to protect the commerce of the world by using our naval assets to patrol the two busiest shipping lanes in the world (gulf of Aden and straights of Malacca). I could go on and on with examples like that, but the fact on the ground is that we are the only one who can take out the garbage and everyone hates that fact until the garbage is lying in their yard. It would be different if the EU or Canada actually had the assets to participate, but they don’t; they abandoned having a solid military years ago and used their money on social stuff, knowing full well if shit really hit the fan, the US would always be there. It’s easy to discount the crazies of the world with their rhetoric, but maybe we should listen to what they are actually saying. Hitler had everything he wanted to do written down in Mein Kampf long before he was in position to do it. Even when he annexed parts of Czech, no thought that he would go any further, even when the rhetoric said that he would. Similarly with the Iranian prez, he wants a nuclear exchange with Israel as this would trigger the Armageddon and pave the way for the Mahdi to return to Earth. Mutual assured destruction doesn’t work when one side actually wants to be martyred. We are in hard times, and they may well get harder, yet that doesn’t mean the best solution is to downplay the threats we face or bury our heads in the sand altogether.
